I still find it cute when the kid's give out chocolate packages to the Father's in the church. I think we're quite unconventional at our house in that we don't really do the whole gifts or going out for dinner, but we still appreciate everything that Dad does (:

I guess this week has been a bit more eye-opening. It's been an interesting week of catchups, and hearing about life outside of uni, because all I've known right now is just uni life.
- Friend earning I think 6 figures as a new grad with a coveted job, but works 9am to 10pm five days a week. That is so taxing on the body both physically and mentally, but I guess if you're hard working then you're willing to push yourself. Although flying to NYC with pretty much all expenses paid does sound pretty good, but those work hours are even worse than an optom timetable. No wonder why my uncle semi-retired from finances in his early 30s and just pretty much travels the world every month.
- Another friend who goes to the beach for an early morning jog at the beach before teaching at an elite private school where celebs kids go to, that's pretty cool imo
- The corporate life of team lunches for 2 hours and then Friday night drinks. I would be lucky to even have a full 30min lunch break once I graduate.
- Why do corporate jobs have so much free food?
- It's funny how most of us have downgraded from big zippy wallets to just cardholders. Thank goodness for Pay Pass
- It's also been refreshing to meet new people, and especially at how they are so willing to serve in Ministry and to serve God. Pls give me some of the positive energy.

It's hard not to compare yourself to other people, so I should just be thankful with what I have, as hard as it might be at times.

Holy Basil, been here multiple times but it's easy to fit groups inside. Ceebs doing a post on this, but it's actually relatively cheap

When knives are the new spoons. Eating cake in the food court cause why not?

Sermon was pretty good today-good to come out feeling more positive.

Looks like weekends are all play and no work. So glad to have a commerce-like timetable this week.
