Taste of Shanghai

We were planning to have dinner that night at another restaurant, but with a potential 1hr wait time, and only 20min for this place and everyone hungry, we decided to go with the shorter wait time. The first time I went to the Eastwood branch was years ago when it first opened. Decided the noodles were way too oily, so haven't been back since. I think they've added more flavour without it being too salty/artificial/oily. You mark down what you want on a piece of paper then hand it to them. A lot of yum cha in HK is like that as well.

Mixed veg noodle soup-$9.80
Choy sum w/ mushroom-$14.80

Steamed vegetable dumplings-$8.80

xiao long bao-$10.80

pan fried pork bun-$10.80

pan fried noodle w/ shrimp and pork-$14.80

grilled onion pancake-$7.80

Also got a seafood stir fried noodle (not pictured). Food was pretty good, I guess the pork inside the dumplings could have been more, with more soup and even thinner skin, but the veggie dumplings were surprisingly delicious. Ended up paying around $15 each. They also allow you to bring cakes in (some place don't allow it) and tables are a good size for multiple plates of food.
