Short Stop

I still have yet to have a favourite doughnut in Sydney, but this place is originally from Melbourne and worth a try if you're in the area. Generally it's less sweet compared to Doughnut Time, but a lot smaller for the price you pay. Both are different styles of doughnuts so it's harder to say which one is better. I have a sweet tooth, but prefer doughnuts to be more flavourful rather than just sweet.
Doughnuts are freshly baked each day.

Earl Grey and Rose (cake)-$4.50

Quite fragrant and had a good amount of earl grey and rose. It was quite small though, but here it's more quality over quantity.

Whiskey Maple Bacon (raised)-$5

inside

Raised doughnuts (similar to Doughnut Time style) have a more bread-y texture, and a bit more fluffier. The whiskey was a bit too subtle and probably not enough maple bacon sprinkled on top in proportion to the doughnut itself. Still pretty tasty.

Triple Matcha (cake)-$5

inside

Inside is filled with matcha cake-style dough, with matcha icing and matcha drizzle on top. I prefer cake style doughnuts since I love my cakes. It's denser than the raised version, but not as dense as normal cakes. Good hit of matcha throughout.

Favourite doughnuts are still Doughnut Plant in NYC.
