The Rabbit Hole Organic Tea Bar

Let's just take a moment to admire how aesthetically pleasing this tea spread is.

Exploring Barangaroo also involves finding new places to eat with tea infused stuff. The original place is in Redfern which I rarely go to which has more savoury options where as Barangaroo is more for tea and some cakes. They do have some salads, soups and sandwiches but a super extensive list of different teas.

lavender shortbread: Instagram favourite topped with edible petals-$5.80 each

Berry Bomb latte: black tea with berries & raspberry dust-$5.50

cutest cup ever

Chose this flavour mainly because it looked good in photos, and I love my black teas. The freeze dried raspberry helped boost the berry flavour in the tea. The milk is one of the best latte milk and froth I've ever had. Even slowly sipping this for a decent amount of time, the froth kept it's frothy consistency, rather than 'sinking' like normal froth on a cappuccino. Milk was super smooth as well. Would have liked more of the black tea flavour, but this latte was definitely worth the price.

Turkish delight latte-decadent rose & cacao combo-$5.50

For people who like their teas/lattes sweet, this one is for you. Tastes like turkish delight and not like the fake Cadbury chocolates. Hints of cacao and rose really adds a fragrant touch.

Take away tea-$5

Had a voucher for free takeaway tea. Other teas I've tried:

Lavender cream: Velvety blend of vanilla, oolong tea & lavender petals
Smelt really fragrant, but would have preferred a more floral taste and a bit more vanilla.

Lime Pie: Lime & coconut white tea extravaganza
Don't understand why white teas cost so much, but this one is quite expensive by the gram. Taste like it sounds.

Ginger Snap: A sweet, spicy ginger, cinnamon & honey bush brew
It was quite spicy, but then you get the sweet after taste. It smelt like a nice honey as well.

Orange & almond ceylon citrus cake: Moist, sweet & zingy with Ceylon tea & lemon myrtle-$8

This cake was moist even eating it one day after. Orange pieces with rind baked into the cake, and nice fresh orange and grapefruit segments. Would have liked more tea flavour infused into it.

This place is a must try for their teas and lattes.

Week 12

this week's been another kinda crap week. almost everyday it takes me 4 hours to and from uni, with an average of 2 hours of classes each day, sometimes even just 1 hour. ie. my uni life is spent stuck in traffic. times like these i really wish my parents/i had the money so i can just live on campus. i do have stuff to study on the bus, but it's just not the right environment to study properly, so nothing goes in my head.

doesn't help i'm working during stuvac, and also have to go uni to practice for prac exam, so another non-existent stuvac. still have new material in week 13 to learn ):

yep, i'm screwed. but this sem the content is just twice the stuff of last semester for each subject. comparing my already condensed notes (you know how i like to squish stuff onto one page, i still do in uni), the notes are almost double for the equivalent subj from last sem. so doing 3 subjects feels like doing more than 4...

i know i always say this every sem, but i really do hope i pass. getting mid sems/prac/tute marks back, and almost all have failed. i hate feeling down on marks because my heart tells me this is all short term things but my brain tells me why can't I memorise stuff better/if only I had my friend's memory. if i can't pass mid sems, then how can i make it through finals? esp 3 hour disease finals. never had a 3 hour uni exam...

at least i came back home today with this:
finally won something!

it finally came in today, after over 2 weeks. it says it was supposed to be a signed copy but it wasn't ): oh well, this book retail for $45.00. just regramed on Insta and i finally got drawn (well I think it's a draw since it's randomly picked) and won a Zumbo competition! you have no idea how many i have entered...holidays are super packed already (and i'm not going anywhere this time), but i want to try something form this book.

finally opened these cookies, all the way from Canada!

these were surprisingly nice and maple syrupy without being too sugary or really creamy filling, and it's maple leaf shaped (:

no time to go to Vivid ): the most i've seen was on monday crossing over the Harbour bridge, the lights turned on at 6.01pm (not 6pm), so i had a glimpse of the buildings/opera house when i went over the Harbour Bridge. really want to test out different functions/night lights photography on my camera, but so screwed for finals ):

totally freaking out after yesterday.

saw that we have two 8am prac exams. the earliest i've been to uni is 7.30am for an 8:45am, since that day there was good traffic, and i want to get there early to avoid being stressed. but 8am puts a lot more pressure on you to get there on time-like what if that day another car flips in the harbour bridge tunnel? and then creating 10km+ queues and 30min+ delays. the other day i was late 45min to uni, luckily it wasn't one of my labs.

then the visn lec told us the exam will be hard (and the online quizzes already are already hard D=), but what's worse is that she told us not to study off her notes but to study off the textbook. why couldn't she tell us earlier ? her notes are so overwhelming already. i know i won't be able to know everything in time (even though this is my last exam). 2cm worth of notes, 6 slides per page, double sided, then there's the tute worksheets etc...i don't know how i'm going to memorise the notes, let alone the textbook. i just hope i pass. right now, i'm just passing...

well she brought us cake from Alexander's Patisserie. banana and chocolate cake.

the banana tasted a bit like banana flavoured stuff, even though you could see real banana bits in it. the icing layer was more creamy but still had integrity/stiffness to it. it wasn't too sweet. the chocolate cake was like any other chocolate cake. but wow, it's the thought that counts. i guess she brought this to "cheer us up" / de stress up a bit after saying you can't pass the exam by rote learning (even though most of it's anatomy, which you have to learn by rote). the only other time a teacher brought cake to class was in yr 12 English....also this led last time brought us biscuits during the tute...and i think it's weird how she doesn't drive/has no car...

Fortnum and Mason dark chocolate and macadamia biscuits

from my uncle's friend who goes back to London to visit his parents often (but lives/works in HK). a quick google search told me these aren't cheap. i've handed quite a lot of branded biscuits like crabtree and evelyn biscuits before, but none from this brand. even though i'm not supposed to have eat this type of stuff...still excited to try it. there's only 16 biscuits inside, which is 37.5g per biscuit, i.e. super heavy biscuit filled with deliciousness. next time he goes to the UK, i shall request some more branded biscuits hehe.

ahhhh, need to study. hoping to pass. and it would be good to get a credit (since we have to get a credit by end of 3rd yr), but i've had no time to study this semester, so i guess i'll be content with a pass (and no supps. ohhh, for the supp exam for visn, she makes it an oral test D= so please no supps for that-can't bluff your way through talking if you actually don't know the answer, unlike writing where you write random stuff and hope to get 1/2 a mark.

i guess it's good how there's no optom once a month at work-i can automatically take a saturday off without asking for one (: study!
