Thankful I was able to be fully vaccinated back in June, and didn't have to scramble/stress with online systems. Also, there was no waiting lines unlike when I looked over to the hub on the other side of the road when vaccines were in short supply and the lines was hundreds of metres long.
Binged watched way too much Netflix at night (even though I feel that I am behind on my PhD). Glad the Olympics was on during lockdown.
Too much has happened since my last post.
Haven been cooking more and can understand why people like to cook savoury since you just check stuff in and do have to measure stuff. Haven't had time to bake. PhD like means no time for hobbies/free time (have to squeeze in time to watch TV lol). Lockdown meant trying food that wouldn't have been doing deliveries. I think notable food deliveries (not including almost all the surrounding areas takeaway) are:
- Banh Mi danish from the guy on MC
- Bday food from The Grounds and Koi
- Thicc cookies
- DuoDuo donuts and ice cream for Blair's bday
- Rising Sun ramen and ice cream from Thai Kee
Sort of can't believe we are finally coming out of lockdown next week. Lockdown has its pros and cons. I feel like I don't have enough time in my calendar to meet up, even though I can't wait to see family and friends irl. Last year's lockdown didn't really feel like a lockdown to me, since I was still leaving the house 5 days a week. This time, there are days we don't step outside of the house for up to 7 days, not even for a walk. Most of the time, peak hr walking time is sunset, and we're on meetings during the day and don't have time...Thankful to be able to catch up online with friends for my bday in Aug and cake deliveries, organising lunch swaps and just general catchups. There's definitely more that has happened since Jan this year, but I should get back to my PhD work.
